This will include 5 minutes recap on the previous lesson (or your previous experience, if it's your first lesson with us), at the start, and an introduction to the new subject. The practical part of the lesson will cover 50 minutes, allowing 5 minutes to recap on what has been covered, and give feedback on how you are progressing, and book your next lesson.
All lessons include a written report on your progress, with a plan for the next lesson & if appropriate diagrams showing what your next lesson involves, to help you prepare & save money, so there is less time spent explaining the subject.
The recap at the start is essential so that we can check your knowledge of either your previous experience, or the last lesson, therefore we can tailor the lesson to suit your personal requirements, giving the best learning experience.
The recap at the end allows us to assess how you've got on in the lesson, and allows time to give our feedback on how you've done, and plan the next lesson with you. We would also be interested in knowing how we performed throughout the lesson, ie: What new things did you learn? Did you get value for money? etc.
2 hour lessons:
These cover the same format as above, but provide better value for money as you get longer in the driving seat. (when compared to 1 hour lesson which has 50 mins. driving time. The 2 hour lesson has 1 Hour 50 mins. So you get 10 minutes more than if you booked 2 separate 1 hour lessons).
For even better value you can book 10 hours of 2 hour lessons. These are paid for at the start of your first lesson. Or if by cheque it must clear before the first lesson.
Intensive courses are 30 hours over 5 days at 6 hours per day, with 30 minutes for lunch (and a rest, you will need it). This course is usually best followed by your driving test for maximum value.
Semi intensive courses are 30 hours over 10 days at 3 hours per day. Again usually best followed by your driving test.
Its best to get your theory test out of the way before going for an intensive or semi intensive course. So that you can concentrate fully on the driving side of things. If you need any theory test help there are some links on the front page of this website, or ring Andy who can send you out a theory test CD/DVD as part of your package, if you have paid a deposit for Intensive/semi intensive course.
Please note: 2 Hours can be allowed within the Intensive & Semi Intensive course times on the test day, for practice beforehand, & use of the vehicle on test, if required, or you can pay for test use which is £34.00 (the DSA test fee is not included).
